Metro Lutheran Ministry (MLM) is hosting a Elementary School Foursquare Tournament Feb. 26. This is a fun event with non-competitive matches. Check-in starts at 2 pm Sunday, Feb. 26. Games and awards will be 2:30 to 5:30 pm. The event takes place at Calvary Lutheran School/Lutheran High School, 12411 Wornall, Kansas City, MO.

Activities will include fun, interactive games to allow the youth to get to know each other better while they are not playing. They will also have the opportunity to learn something about MLM and its ministries and ways they can get involved in service to Jesus Christ through serving those in need.

Teams consist of 4-6 players with four players competing in each match. Each team must have at least two adult chaperones. Also, all parents will be asked to sign a Waiver Form. Reproducible Waiver Forms are can be downloaded below (Please have youth bring the Waiver Forms with them on Sunday, Feb 26.).

If your church has more players, you are welcome to enter two teams. Each team is asked to bring $30 entry fee to help cover some of our costs (though “scholarships” may be available for teams that can’t afford the entry fee. MLM certainly doesn’t want anybody to not play due to lack of funds!).

Also, each team member is asked to try to find pledges of at least $25. Reproducible Pledge Forms and an Instruction Sheet for the youth to give people making pledges are enclosed.

All net proceeds will benefit Metro Lutheran Ministry’s services. The youth will find out at the tournament how they can get involved in this ministry.

The team registration deadline is Tuesday, Feb 14. Please inform MLM if you are coming by Tuesday, Feb 14, by either calling Suzanne Bartling at 816-285-3146 or emailing the Team Registration Form to suzannebartling@mlmkc.org.
