MLM provides critical help to the poorest of the poor in metropolitan Kansas City. Food, shelter, job-skill training and more are available. Just a few highlights include:

  • Millions of pounds of food shared with people in need each year.
  • Food and hot-breakfast programs each week.
  • Grace Homes for people who are chronically mentally ill and chronically homeless.   
  • Permanent housing for hundreds of homeless families.
  • Employment help through the Chael/Dykman Education Center.

MLM guides clients toward greater independence. We help people find work,
help older residents remain in their homes and much more.

85% of MLM's designated gifts go directly to programs. MLM serves tens of thousands of people throughout metropolitan Kansas City each year—with a staff of just over a dozen.
